Ziplifts

A lymphatic disorder caused the Ziplifts inventor, Lewis Young, to retire early causing limited stair-
climbing ability, which when combined with the desire to remain in his two story home, was the catalyst
to form Ziplifts , a line of lifestyle and mobility devices. His work before founding Ziplifts included
workplace safety which transitioned to home safety upon learning that the second leading cause of
accidental deaths in the U.S. occurs because of stairs. This created a desire to seek ways to reduce the
more than 12,000 deaths due to stair accidents in businesses and homes that occur annually in the U.S.
